People Initiatives

Rewards and recognition:

We run formal rewards and recognition programs to ensure our people are being recognised for their efforts. The awards are based on either performance or behaviour that is in line with FirstClick’s values. We reward our staff formally at our regular Townhall events and informally, day-to-day on the job.

 
Vetter:

We use a fantastic online suggestion box system, whereby staff input any ideas and suggestions about how we can improve FirstClick. Whether that be about getting a love sack for the office, or buying a new projector for the board room right through to suggestions on improving efficiency in the business, Vetter is the place for it.


Regular team social events:

We regularly go out as a team on FirstClick, whether it’s a pub lunch or rock climbing, it’s a great opportunity to get together as a team, outside the office and have a good old fashioned catch-up. It’s encouraged that everyone attends, but if client meetings come up, that’s ok too.

Time to unwind:

We have a range of fun activities to help staff unwind and take their mind off things. In both of offices, we have table tennis tables. In Melbourne, you can have a swing of golf or a game of darts and in Sydney we have a foosball table. Friday afternoons are the most popular times for a good comp!

We also have all-staff fitness sessions where we regularly participate in various activities like boot camp, yoga and massages.


Work from home/flexible hours:

We recognise that at different life stages our staff may want to balance their work and outside commitments (e.g. study, family, community involvement, personal interests) by using flexible work practices.

We also recognise that over our life course those interests may vary, and the type of flexibility desired may also vary.

That’s why we offer flexible work practices such as early starts and early finishes and regular work-from-home days each month, for the whole team.


Long-service leave:

We also reward loyalty and have a special long service leave and FirstClick Anniversary system in place.


Fun!

We also like to think we’re good at having fun. We’re not ashamed to admit that Karaoke is not an unexplored territory on a Friday night. And we’re keeping one or two bottle shops in business.

And yep, we of course love the odd dress-up party – who doesn’t?
