Rich McPharlin

Head of Data, Analytics & Insights

Rich is Head of Data, Analytics and Insights at FirstClick Consulting. He leads the FirstClick Analytics team to drive high impact business insights from data for some of Australia’s largest brands.

Rich was recently awarded the title of Australia’s “Biggest Search Geek” in the Marin Software/SMX global search marketing contest, and achieved second place worldwide.

An ideas man, his focus on delivering better results and improving processes is not altogether surprising given his first ever job was as a sailing coach – by his own admission, a great way to make a living.

Rich’s focus and commitment is evident too in his passion for racing yachts and the related trophies he’s been awarded, spending any free time he has on the water.

Rich studied a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Investment Finance (derivatives) and Management in Western Australia.

He works with the organic search team to deliver out-of-the-box thinking and strategies, as well as with the paid search team, ensuring that our unified paid/organic search product is as efficient as possible.
