The Marin Software and Search Marketing Expo’s (SMX) Biggest Search Geek Competition has come to a close with FirstClick Consulting’s Rich McPharlin taking out first place in Australia, and second overall across the globe.
The competition attracted thousands of entries from search professionals all around Australia as well as the UK, Germany, America and Canada.
The World’s Biggest Search Geek is an online quiz that tests the industry knowledge of online marketers on topics ranging from SEM, SEO, performance display, quality score, history of search, Facebook, mobile and retargeting.
McPharlin says, “I’m excited to take out first place in Australia in the Biggest Search Geek Competition. It’s testament to my passion for search marketing. The competition is not for the light hearted and is an extremely tough test of knowledge across the entire Search gamut. With the added pressure of the competition being timed, I’m really pleased with the result.”
