FirstClick launches new charity program!

Last week FirstClick launched our new charity participation program in the FirstClick Office and we’re excited to say, not only are we helping our local communities but we’re also boosting office morale and promoting team building within our team.

We believe it’s important to allow staff to give back to the community in a way that resonates with them.  That’s why our Melbourne and Sydney teams are granted special leave to make this happen.

Our new partnership with the Salvation Army involves members of our team volunteering in Salvo stores and cafes each month. The Salvo’s rely heavily on the generosity of the community to assist with the day-to-day running of their services.

Our Sydney team has been helping out at the Sydney Streetlevel Mission. Sydney Street level Mission offers a range of services including a café, food market, lockers and op shop.

Meanwhile the Melbourne team is volunteering at The Hamodava Café, providing free meals and drinks to support people from all walks of life, especially those living on the margins of society. On an average day the Café serves up 350 meals and 450 coffees and relies solely on volunteers and donations.

Through this, each staff member has obtained a sense of achievement and pride in the fact that they are ‘giving back’.

Make the change in your workplace!

We welcome all of our clients to come and join in our program with us – if you’ve got what it takes, come and spend a day with us helping our local community organisations. Get in touch to find out more.

This is just one of the ways we support local charities we’re passionate about. 2013 saw our “Mo-Bros” raise over $2,000 for Movember and men’s health. We also joined Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with a friendly (aka fiercely competitive) office bake-off to raise funds for the Cancer Council. So far we’ve raised over $2000 for the Cancer Council.

Volunteering and participating in our charity programs is extremely rewarding. By helping out at local charities you can increase workplace enthusiasm, inject a bit of fun into the everyday routine, boost staff retention and build teamwork, all whilst making a positive impact on those in need.

Give work place charity a try! Trust me, your office will thank you for it!
