As part of FirstClick’s exciting new certified partner status with Google Analytics, we attended our first Google Analytics Partner Summit in San Francisco. It was a great event featuring presentations from lead product managers and engineers, live demonstrations of upcoming product launches and a big reveal of the current product roadmap.
The focal area of the conference was ‘Data in Action’. The Google Analytics team demonstrated a commitment to enhancing automation, data cleanliness and built-in reports allowing marketers to take quick ‘on-the-court’ action to data-driven insights. Product launches across analytics and tag manager were well received by global GACP practitioners, and the community was quick to applaud the features it had helped action in 2014.
While the majority of content at the Summit is strictly confidential, FirstClick is now able to get whitelist access to new features for our clients which will offer more detailed reports and visualisations for quicker insights across Google Analytics as well as more intuitive implementation through Google Tag Manager. Google did publicly announce Enhanced eCommerce, which allows for a more holistic view of the shopper experience, from onsite merchandising through to returns.
